Entry #3 Funny Faces
Small evergreen trees surrounding all around, there are small green and bright yellow ovals hanging in the distance. Large straw hats and woven brown baskets surround the plant trying to get the best pick. Trucks line up with their engines on, tailgates down ready to deliver to local markets. A man passing the time is juggling one, two, now three at a time, laughing and keeping his balance making sure he doesn't drop any.
These little ovals sure pack a punch to your taste buds. With the fish faces, the squinted eyes, and the shaking heads, you know exactly what you ate when you have one. With the clenched jaws and funny faces, these sensations do not last long. But beware you do not want to choke on a seed. We all know how tart and sour it tastes but we insist on eating more. These can also come in the color green, which can be used to suppresses the taste of a strong beverage or it can calm an upset stomach. We often put it in our water to give a hint of flavor or for joking purposes we let babies take a nice big bite to see their reactions. There are many uses for this fruit but which is the best.
Getting past this tangy eye squinting treat, there are many benefits held in these little guys. Including, immune support, skin health and improving digestion. In fact you probably have them sitting on your counter as we speak. If you can handle the taste bud explosion of sour yet refreshing fruit you can absorb many of the benefits it has to offer.
I like the descriptions you used to show what mints are. You used very detailed words that if I didn't know what we were writing about, I would be able to guess what you're talking about. Great job showing the experience that mints have on us!
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer! You did a really good job at describing how lemons/limes taste and look. I could really picture what you were talking about. I personally like how you included how babies react to them, we used to let my little cousins try them and their reactions were priceless. Also, I like how you included how they benefit us! Good job!

ReplyDeleteThe description got me to think about something else at the beginning and as I was reading I could imaging a whole different thing but then, I remember the theme of the assignment to get back in track to what we are supposed to talk about. I like it how you introduce it and how you put the photos to sort of imagine what it's going on.
